Dr. Ashok Bajpai Ji
Dr. Ashok Vajpayee Ji is a prominent leader in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, whose public life has remained highly influential for more than four decades in Hardoi as well as in state politics. He is currently serving the World Brahmin Welfare Council in the important role of Senior National Vice President, where he provides invaluable guidance to the organization.
Dr. Vajpayee began his political journey in 1977 when he was first elected as an MLA from the then Pihani Assembly constituency on a Janata Party ticket. He went on to win the elections again in 1985 and 1989. As a candidate of the Samajwadi Party (SP), he achieved electoral success in 1993, 1996, and 2002. Throughout his long political career, he held several key administrative responsibilities in different governments. He served as a minister in the Babu Banarasi Das government, and in 1989, he worked as the Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh alongside Mulayam Singh Yadav. Later, he also held the portfolios of Food & Civil Supplies, Agriculture, and Charitable Welfare.
By establishing institutions such as the Navodaya Vidyalaya and Krishi Vigyan Kendra in the Hardoi district, he demonstrated that villages, farmers, youth, education, and healthcare have always been his priorities. Rising beyond state politics, Dr. Vajpayee went on to serve as a Member of the Rajya Sabha.
As the Senior National Vice President of the Council, the extensive legislative and administrative experience of Dr. Ashok Vajpayee Ji—former Rajya Sabha MP and former Cabinet Minister—serves as a strong pillar for the organization in achieving its goals of Brahmin community welfare and national development at the national level.
