Shri Swami Shriram Chitragupt Ji Maharaj
Shri Swami Shriram Chitragupt Ji Maharaj is a devoted personality in the fields of Indian culture, spirituality, and social service. Despite holding a diploma in Civil Engineering, he dedicated his life to the propagation of Sanatan Dharma and the upliftment of the Hindu community. He is currently serving as the Senior National Vice President of the World Brahmin Welfare Council, where he strengthens the organization with his vast experience and guidance from South India.
As a disciple of the enlightened saint Shri Sheshadri Swamigal, he began his active involvement in social service by associating with various NGOs from 2010 onward. In 2020, under the guidance of the revered Shri Swami Chakrapani Ji Maharaj, he was appointed as the President of Sant Mahasabha, Tamil Nadu, and later as the All India Secretary. Through Sant Mahasabha, he leads a wide range of social and religious activities in Tamil Nadu, including providing high-quality artificial limbs to the poor for the past five years, awarding full scholarships to meritorious engineering and B.Tech students, and distributing educational materials to underprivileged students across the state.
In addition, his work includes ensuring the restoration of ancient and dilapidated temples, protecting cows, providing free medical assistance and clothing to the needy, and arranging loans for young entrepreneurs through government agencies. He is also actively engaged in preventing religious conversions and in promoting Shaiva principles as well as traditional Tamil arts such as Kolambu and Silambattam among the youth.
Alongside social and spiritual work, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the monthly Tamil magazine “Arunai Murasu” and as the South India President of the All India Small Newspapers Association (notified by the Government of India).
His multifaceted leadership—particularly in South India—is an invaluable pillar in helping the Council achieve its national objectives.
